ATA-Houston’s very own Turkish Folk Dance Group will be taking the audience through an exciting cross-country trip as they perform different regional folk dances from across different areas of Turkey. Turkish Folk Dancing is representative of the culture of the region. Each region of Turkey is different in its rhythms, music, and dances, ranging from dances that interpret the celebration of the harvest (Adiyaman, Gaziantep) to dances that represent the quick and lively movement of fish (Black Sea).
